The Black Fathers Love photo series is a collection of images and short stories to depict Black fatherhood and show how deep our love for our children goes. The goal of this project is to uplift and embrace Black fathers while also debunking stereotypes. By authentically capturing these images and voices, we will create a needed source of inspiration for Black men everywhere.
How will we accomplish this? That’s where you come in! We are looking to connect with Black fathers in the Columbus area who would like to tell their story. In turn, we will capture loving images of you and your little one(s) that will serve as a reminder of the wonderful job you continue to do. If you are interested in participating, please schedule your consultation. If you know of someone who would be interested please nominate them below.
- All of the photography sessions will take place in our studio
- Each session will be 90 minutes
- Our gift to you will be a framed 5 x 7 printed photo
- For this project, we are waiving our usual sitting fee so there’s no charge to you unless you would like to purchase additional digital images for $20 each.
The final result of this project is the Black Fathers Love book that we will self publish by Christmas 2021. We need your support to reach this goal. So, please choose to participate by sitting in front of the camera with your child(ren) and/or consider supporting this project by donating to our Go Fund Me campaign.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you require a deposit?
For Black Fathers Love photo sessions, we do not require a deposit.
How many images will I receive?
You will receive 1 free framed and matted print of your choice. Additionally, you may purchase additional images for $20 each
What should we wear?
Decisions, decisions?? This is where we offer the best wardrobe options to make you look like a rockstar! We will cover some wardrobe options best fit for your session during your initial consultation.
What is your turnaround time?
The entire process from photoshoot to final product is 2-3 weeks. This includes your image selection time, retouching, and delivery. If you choose printed products, please allow additional time.
Can I bring additional family members to our session?
This project is focused on fathers and their loving relationships with their children. If you would like to use this opportunity for a family photoshoot, that includes more than father and kids, additional family members are $25 per person. If you have specific needs or concerns we can discuss further.
